January 2023 Market Update

Happy New Year! We hope you had a safe and enjoyable holiday season with your friends and loved ones. Now that the year-end festivities have concluded, some of you may be wondering if now is a good time to put your home on the market. The answer is still a resounding yes. As of December 2022, for-sale inventory in Lee and Collier Counties was recorded at 2.5 months and 3.1 months, respectively. When for-sale inventory exceeds 6 months, this is considered to be a buyers’ market. When for-sale inventory is below that threshold, this is considered a sellers’ market.

(Typically, during this time of year, we have more than 15,000 homes for sale on the MLS. Currently, we only have 7,730 active for-sale listings.)
