Single-family Home Sales, Home Prices Up Notably Year Over Year
Greetings, Neighbors! I think we can all agree that 2020 has felt like it would never end (all things considered)—but now, 2021 is just a few weeks away. If you’ve been thinking about listing your home, but you’ve been reluctant to do it until after the holidays – now is the right time to reach out to a real estate agent. Why? Because the Southwest Florida real estate market is very active right now and buyers are in the market.
For example, according to the Regional Economic Research Institute at Florida Gulf Coast University, single-family home sales within SWFL costal counties rose by a whopping 48% in October 2020, compared to October 2019. Also, notable, is that single family home prices for all three coastal counties- increased between 13-33% during that same reporting period.
Yes, that’s right. Despite the pandemic, buyers are still actively looking—both virtually and in person—and to say that the residential real estate market is “active” would be an understatement. If you’re situation has changed in the past few months (i.e., you and/or your spouse are working from home, and/or you’re homeschooling one or more of your children), and your current home no longer meets your needs, let us help you sell your current home so you can start searching for something new. Additionally, your home may be worth more than you think, so don’t sell yourself short (no pun intended there); make sure you talk with your agent about the options available to you.
If you’re looking to buy or sell a home, our team is here to help you achieve your residential real estate goals. Whether buying or selling, our tools are PROVEN to help you get the most from your transaction!
